Re: [RC] treeless saddles - Christina Schiro

In late February of every year, my saddle (Barefoot Cheyenne - treeless saddle) seems to create rub/friction marks at the end of the sadddle on either side of the spine. The hair is not broken and the hair is not white but its gets really really short there. After discussion on the treeless yahoo group, we came to the conclusion that it has something to do with the winter coat shedding out process. I put some Cowboy Magic Detangler (you can use whatever slick stuff you want) on JUST those rubbed areas to let the saddle glide over those areas.
