[RC] 100-mile completion awards - was hundred miler Junior brag - Diane TrefethenThe only discouraging part of this ride was the awards. It was T-shirts which was fine. But we all wear mediums, they tell us their sorry all's we have left is lg and xlg. I should think if people are willing to ride a hundred and they think they don't have enough shirts they need to get their size before hand. This was actually the 3rd shirt we received this year and on all three we were told , sorry no more mediums. Operative words above = SORRY ALL'S WE HAVE LEFT In other words, the completion award for the 100's was the same as for at least one of the other rides. Is this any way to encourage participation in the 100's? I agree with Genie that ride management should solicit sizes from all the ride entrants and then set aside the correct size for each 100-miler. Later, if they want to check the stats for the 100-mile pulls and release those shirts back into the pool just before the awards dinner, they could do that. Extra work?
