[RC] Conditioning on hard packed gravel roads - Jonni

I have hard packed gravel roads that I have used when I was not able to trailer to the local trails. Not bad after a rain, where the roads tend to have more "give". No shoulder to ride on, but the outer edges are sometimes a tad softer. I've never worried about the gravel, but have had concerns on the hard unforgiving surface, which gets as hard as concrete. While I think some hard surface conditioning is good in moderation, I had a tendency to put Easyboots on over the horses shoes to give a little more concussion protection if needing to do a longer or quicker ride.

Road founder as mentioned is a concern of mine. Watch for any heat in the feet and legs.
