Just trying to get more information, but it looks to me like the related bill in the Senate is SB 781:  http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=s109-781

Both sites list the bill co-sponsors.  These folks would probably appreciate an "atta boy" :-)
 
It looks like the bills are currently in Committee.  Is that correct, Jerry?
 
On the Senate side it is the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources.  Here are the senate members of this committee:
 
 
On the house side it is the Subcommittee on Department Operations, Oversight, Nutrition and Forestry:
 
 
 
I'm no expert on these things, but it seems like we should first encourage the committee members to act affirmatively and quickly on these bills?  If the bills don't get out of committee, then it's a moot point.  Can non-committee members influence getting them out of committee?
