RE: [RC] sad story (not) and natural toughness - Kristen A Fisher

Up at a recent OK ride there was a guy there that wasn't familiar to too
many people who was in the 50 and running up front. [Many already thought he
was crazy as he slept in the bed of his truck the night before when it got
down to maybe 10?] Some of the other 50 front runners expressed some concern
about that but his horse [big QH] was doing fine as was he. He wasn't too
familiar with endurance per se, but some good hearted folks guided him along
that day, and as it turns out he not only top tenned but got high vet score
[after getting quite lost for a while].

As it turns out, he rode this horse open range from OK up to Nebraska [I
think] and back and is definitely one heck of a horseman - he just wanted to
try something new with his horse.

The all purpose ranch horse goes all day many days at a time.
Long days, multiple jobs, only routine good care, like the
energiser bunny, they just keep going and going. Many work
for years, into upper teens and beyond.
They come from durable stock.
