[RC] a sad story for AERC? - Ed Kilpatrick

well, amber, it sounds like this guy is more of a talker than a doer anyway.  hopefully, that is all he will do is talk, and not run his horse in the ground.  from what i have learned, there are some people that spend a lot of time, energy and effort talking about what they COULD do, instead of really doing it. internet chat rooms/online discussion groups enable some folks to make up stories faster than frank hopkins during happy hour.   instead of bragging about kicking arab butts while riding his racking horse (or whatever it is),   he should wait until he actually gets out there and finds out what this sport is really about.   he may not be capable of kicking any butts except his own.

by the way, newbies, dont be offended by the term.  compared to those with more experience than me,  i am still a newbie.  compared to those with less experience than me,  i might seem like more of an old hand at this game.   the important thing is to learn as much as you can about distance riding, and properly apply that knowledge.    i would say that it is better to be a newbie, willing to learn, than an "oldie" who keeps making the same mistakes and isnt willing to learn.
