FWIW, I think Karen makes a point which isn’t stressed often enough : safety is paramount.

 

I don’t really care if Parelli makes your horse the safest, most bomb-proof on the planet, and if it never steps out of line ever, that horse is still capable of a mis-step, and that kind of fall, without a helmet, could be fatal.

 

Any clinician worth his salt will ensure that rider safety is stressed, and that wearing a helmet doesn’t mean you don’t trust the horse or its training, but simply that you actually have a brain worth preserving.
