I was riding a very green 3 year old in some canyons that had a drop-off on one side. He started throwing a fit over something and stepped off the side and rolled over me and kept rolling down the hill until he landed in a pack rat nest that stopped him from going all the way to the bottom. I had a lunge line tied to the back of the saddle, so I slid down to him, attached the long lunge line and crawled back to the trail. I was finally able to get him up to the top but I was sure I had brought the wrong horse up. He was a changed animal and he just couldn't do enough for me after that, haha.
