[RC] Rain coats - Susan Favro

The Muddy Creek Raingear is the best thought-out rain gear I’ve seen. The fabric is waterproof and breathable. The cut of the coat is generous enough that you can comfortably wear a heavy coat under it, but if it’s a warmer rain, the fabric isn’t going to heat you up. The long coat’s gusset is cut large and not slit so it’ll cover your saddle and pommel bag without sacrificing leg coverage. PLUS they make a detachable hood in two sizes – one size large enough to fit over a helmet. All this and the long coat weighs only about 2 pounds. I’ve found the coat to be super lightweight to wear, not bulky and, in consideration of a spooky horse, the fabric is fairly quiet (versus those yellow slickers).

For photos, visit our Web site under Clothing for Horse & Rider. (BTW, Our May specials include a free hood with any long rain coat purchase.)
