[RC] Cushings, Stringhalt: hereditary or not? - Mary Krauss

I know of a lovely young stallion who's father has stringhalt and who's mother retired early with Cushings disease. I'm not planning to buy the guy--though he's the prettiest horse I've seen in a long time--but I wondered in any of you know if he's likely to get inherit either disorder. His owner says the father developed stringhalt from an episode of being loosed into a pasture of mares he bred at too young an age (???). Hmmm.
