Well said,Truman and all. And that "slow rolling canter" "short lope",whatever 
they call it,sure feels safe in bad terrain or downhill.My old Chico can't 
easily canter slowly-he's naturally too much on the forehand.But he will do it 
when he needs to,for example in very tall grass,etc.I think his canter is 
mostly what is called a "hand gallop"(?).(Truman?)
