[RC] Sitting the trot - Carolyn Burgess

Part of learning to ride for me was posting (I learned english when I was a kid) and I find it is more comfortable for me to post the trot, it also is easier to ride a big, extended trot when you post.  I can't imagine sitting my Standardbreds 20 mph trot.

Several people in it say they don't ever sit the trot during an endurance ride. Is that because sitting the trot might make the horse back sore, or is it because sitting isn't comfortable at the pace you're keeping?
