Re: [RC] dog attacks - Tiffany D'Virgilio

I hate the thought of a pit bull-anyone think bear spray would work?

That's an interesting idea...
I've used one on a raccoon that was tearing up our shop building. He was all over the place, knocking everything off of shelves. I finally cornered him on a high shelf and gave him a zap. He left immediately and headed for the great outdoors. Another time, a coon was in our plum tree helping himself. I zapped that one, too, and I didn't know coons could jump that far. He headed for the woods in a big hurry. I hate to do that, but those little critters can do a huge amount of damage...and are they ferocious!
I'd say it would be worth a try on an attacking dog. Just be sure that the little safety plug is in place while you are riding!!!

Does anyone think a hot shot cattle prod would work on pit bull type dogs? After reading all the responses regarding dog attacks, it sounds like nothing short of a gun will stop a pit bull type dog that is intent on attacking.
