Why? How on earth is that insulting LD riders? Sounds like someone  
has a chip on their shoulder. Are you suggesting that a 25 mile race  
be called an endurance championship? I don't think any LD rider  
thinks that a NC endurance ride should be held in a distance less  
than 50 miles  and be called endurance.  AERC has determined that  
endurance is 50 miles or more, while LD is any distance up to 50 miles.
A 25 mile race cannot be called an endurance championship, how is  
that a put down to LD? It's a fact, not an opinion or a slight. LD is  
LD, endurance is endurance. That's according to the sanctioning body  
of the AERC. I have no idea why anyone would interpret that as  
commentary about LD in general. Sheesh!
