No, I don't tip my farrier.  If my farrier wants me to pay him more, he
can charge me more.

Incidentally, it is considered "inappropriate" to tip your hairstylist
as well, if s/he is the person who owns the salon.  And I have yet to
meet a farrier who doesn't own his/her own business (not saying that
they don't exist, just that I have never met one).
