The vet found it during the prepurchase, and taught me how to do penicillin injections, including drawing back after inserting the needle to make sure you hadn't hit a vein etc. A few years later, I was giving a mare antibiotics for an infected cut. I stuck the 18 gauge needle in her butt and hit an artery. There was absolutely no question, the pulsing fountain would have worked for a Monty Python sketch!
