Spiral fractures are a good reason not to lunge a young horse. However, FREE lunging is another matter. Although I haven't lunged a horse in probably 15 years, I have free lunged frequently as a tool in my "you don't want to do what I ask - ok, puppy, move out till I say you can stop" box.


I agree that 2-3 miles is not a stress on a 6 month old.
