[RC] RE : Not using Electrolytes - Leonard . Liesens

I can confirm that many competitive french riders don't use electrolytes at
all.
The french team don't use electrolytes neither, it is disadvised by their
veterinarian, JC Leclercq.
We have stopped using elytes as well in the belgian team.

I just want to add that Leclercq, former team vet and now chef d'equipe
(since the passing of Pierre Cazes) made a study based on tests performed on
several dozens of top french horses during rides. He claims that the results
are proving his theory. He will do a lecture at the intl Veterinarian
convention in Chantilly (region of Paris) in July.

"No one has still talked about the French team -- how are they winning
races and performing at the Int. level and not using electrolytes???
Anyone know the answer?"

This question came up sometime ago on the lists and some people
speculated that the French team might be competitive and not giving an
answer that would help competitors.

No idea if it's true.
