[RC] horse buying woes - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

We bought a horse 4 years ago that apparently had an "iffy" exray. The
previous shoppers (from UAE) passed him up because of this. Jamie Kerr looked
at the exrays for us and told us not to worry. We bought him and he has
completed 3 out of 3 Tevis entries, close to 1500 miles in 3 years, and never
had a lame day - except for when he got kicked in the knee.
He isn't perfect, but that has never been an issue. The funniest part of his
sale was being told he was "dressage trained". After working with him I figure
his dressage training must have consisted of showing him the letters! It's
okay - he's great and has come a long way regardless of previous training.
We all keep learning...isn't that what horses are for?
Laura
and Smokey - who insist there were no rocks or deer in Texas!
