Re: [RC] Rainey rides - rdcarrie

Most of the time, I'll go ahead and go...heck, I won't melt if I get wet, and I've gotten soaked plenty of times riding.  And besides, the RM has gone to all the work of putting this party on, and is going to potentially lose money if people don't go (being an RM myself, I tend to think of this).  About the only time I *won't* go if the weather is bad (and in East Texas, "bad" generally means heavy rain) is if I know the trails and know that they tend to get really, really bad with extensive rain.  Then I might not go.  But even then I may still go, but just do a shorter distance.  I have a really had time staying home when there's a ride happening.  <G>

I did skip Frigid Digit a couple of years ago due to icy roads getting there.  Which is a bummer, because people got to ride in the SNOW!!!  That would have been sooo cool for Texas.

Just curious how many of you go to rides if the weather is going to be bad?

Safe Riding,
Todd
