I have found that wearing silk or polypropylene glove liners can increase the comfort of neoprene foam gloves but if you are doing anything active your hands do tend to sweat.

I have used them in cold rain/snow rides in MN. After 8 or 10 hours your
hands look like prunes, but are warm and you can still tend to your horse.
