[RC] Probios and Elytes - sandy . l . holder

My experience:
I started out with Probios and Vetline Equilytes. Probios worked pretty
well to put weight on but wasn't optimal for gut sounds during rides.
Vetline Equilytes caused my horse to thump (blood drawn post ride and
chemical components of the elytes verified diasterous calcium:magnesium
ratio - do not use for endurance). What works best for me is PRELOADING
starting the Wednesday before a ride with 1 oz. each of Fastrac and
Enduramax with their feed, continuing until the morning feeding of ride day
when I administer orally only elytes after they've eaten continuing to
include FasTrac in their feed at vetchecks. I use 1 oz. straight enduramax
with water but am going to try mixing with apple juice (Peggy recently
showed me that one) whenever they drink well during a ride.

Just my 2 cents worth.
