I actually learned that from a ski instructor many years ago. Didn't learn much more, tho'...downhill skiing wasn't my thing. But crosscountry skiing...  :)

Hmmm - I never heard that one before. I've been concentrating on
keeping my torso and head warm and haven't thought at all about arms
and legs. I know my legs aren't warm because when I come in, the
skin there is kind of numb. I always figured I had enough padding on
my thighs that cold wouldn't make any difference.
