In addition put a pair of big big insulated chopper mittens on a string around your neck. Wear the mittens as much as possible.

Chopper mittens = motorcycle gloves? Wonder where I'd get them? Ebay?

The problem is that people are designed to live in Africa, so when our body gets cold, the blood flow to the hands shuts off and bingo, our hands get cold.

I'm 50% Scandinavian, 50% eastern European - not warm places! I haven't noticed feeling cold (body) when my fingers get cold. I am careful to wear a warm hat when it's that cold out there.

Thinsulate(TM) thermal insulation in a pair of gloves will allow you to have more dexterity than other gloves of equal warmth.

I've got some Thinsulate lined gloves - they're nice leather gloves and I didn't want to wreck them using them as work gloves. I will look for Thinsulate lined work gloves, though - they must make them.
