[RC] sorting by colors and/or behavior - Ed Kilpatrick

the first mustang adoption i ever attended was about 5 years ago.  my wife and i were looking at all the horses, which were corraled in groups of 12-15.  we came to a corral with a bunch of 2-3 year olds.  all of the black horses were in one corner of the corral, and all the brown horses were in the opposite corner.   walking a line between them was a little black colt, ears back and teeth bared.  kathi said, oh, i want that one!  i remember thinking, oh crap, why dont you pick the meanest one!   i figure it was probably horses from separate herds that had to be corraled together, and this boy was just protecting his herd.  it sure looked funny, though!   long story short, we got him, and he turned out to be a good little horse.          cowboy ed
