RE: [RC] Chevy Ad - heidi

As I get older, I realize that I have to know my limitations if I am
to live happily and not spread myself too thin. I made a New Year's
resolution to reserve less time for "taking offense" and more time for
appreciation. When I am connecting with my beautiful 16 year old
daughter, or sharing a special dinner with my wife, or I am king of all
I survey when my horse carries me to new scenery and safely back home
again, I just can't muster the energy to worry seriously about some
corporate ad exec's poor judgement they exercised in trying to sell more
trucks. I heard a phrase one time that always gives me hope when I
recall it: "It's true that the world is full of pain, suffering and
injustice. But it's also full of the overcoming of them." When we look
through the "window of the world," the Chevy ad is just a fly speck, in
my book. Here's hoping you can all happily exhibit as much honesty and
fruitful hard work in the coming year...............as your horse.

Good post, Bruce. But I have a little different "take" on something
like the Chevy ad. Yes, it is a "fly speck" in the general scheme of
things, but it takes little effort to write a letter, and it is really
just good manners to let someone know when they've crossed the edge
with something like that. It is akin to quietly taking a fellow aside
to let him know his fly is open...
