[RC] Cascade-Siskiyou Nat. Monument - hope lundquist

Last day for COMMENTS on the draft plan is 3-14-05. The Cascade-Siskiyou Nat Monument is in southern Oregon. 40 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail are in the Monument with no restriction on how many can ride at one time. Hurray! The  Applegate Trail (Historic) and the Oregon-California Wagon Trail/Ewing Young Route (Historic) also cross from east to west or reverse. Right of way already established. The southern border is California. We have no direct access from California. Some roads have been de-commissioned in the south western part of the Monument. Across the border in California is the Horseshoe Ranch managed by BLM in Calif. Also State of Calif Fish and Game and other BLM land for a total of about 7000 acres in California. I would like to see a FEEDER TRAIL established from the Horseshoe ranch in California to the Pacific Crest Trail in the Monument. What say you?  Please send your comments to www.or.blm.gov/csnm  You can also call them at (541) 618-2200 Ask for a map.  .Hope Lundquist/west
