Re: [RC] Maybe shorter is better ;) - Laney Humphrey

I adore my 14'2" guy. I bought a back-up horse advertised as 14'3." Great horse, but in reality, he's 15'. I just hate having to get on and off him. Heck, I'll walk a mile to find a rock, stump, bumpr or whatever to use even getting on my short guy and it's worse with the tall one. My next horse is going to be even shorter if possible!

Having just done a 6 day trail ride (not endurance related) half way on my 14.2 mare and the other half on a 14.3+ a little QH...I promise that extra inch makes a lot of difference when you're getting on!! Oh please, give me back my 'little' mare!!
Suzi and just short enough Holly

In my mind, the ultimate proof that shorter is pretty gosh darned
    good
is John Parke and his 2 Icelandics, Remington and Skoldur. (The
    horses
are short, John isn't!) John has over 11,000 miles on his 2 trusty
"ponies" and they are still going strong.
