[RC] problem with my Epic boots - Diana Peterson

Need a little help here.

I bought some epic bbots for my horse. They have been fitted and messured by a person ( i don't want to use names). He is also a barefoot farrier. ( not mine )

The rpoblem i have ... my horse had been trimmed 3 weeks ago. I bought the boots 3 days later.
When i rode my horse in the boots they made the back of his fetlock... where the hoof ends and the soft tissue starts he had some rubbing there. No hair loss but since he has with feet , i could see the skin there beeing a bit red.
Also after walking for 2 miles i trotted him out a bit and he started to favor one front foot. And he bumped the back of the Epic boots with his hind feet.
So... my Q is... Do i have to trim him again.? Do i have to square the hind hoofs a bit ? Are my boots not fitting right ?

any suggestions.. ??

Diana
( since english is my second language...please forgive wrong spelling or unclear wording )
