If a horse is lame - it is not fit to continue. Period end of 
conversation. There is no such thing as "extra credit." My first horse 
was a Walking horse and the only thing I asked for a fair consideration 
of her - which I always got. If someone wants extra credit for barefoot 
or anything else - go start your own sport.
