Thanks.  Keep us posted on this.  I wonder if anyone else out there on
RC has a horse that can canter along at 90 bpm?  (It might be that this
Argentian breeder has some super HR bloodlines--or maybe it's this
particular horse?)

I don't ride with a HRM, but I do know that one of the horses I am
currently riding is among those who canters easily (particularly if being
asked to go with another horse), and when I come into a vet check (I don't
generally slow down with those who get off and lead in--I often jog right
up to the PR area) he is frequently at 44 by the time I can get a PR
person onto him.  Such horses are out there, even in this country--but
Steph is right that the show fads have caused significant breeding trends
away from this sort of functionality.
