[RC] white feet with pink bruising - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I am looking at purchasing a lippitt morgan whose feet are overdue for a trim,
with no shoes on currently. Her 3 white feet have a smooth hoof wall but have
pink large irregular blotches under the surface, like a bruise. In the winter
in MA the ground is frozen and rutty. Would being turned out to pasture cause
this problem? My pastures will be similar so should I be nervous purchasing a
horse with this condition that will then be trotting down hard, rocky VT roads?
Any one with info or advice, I would love to hear your input! I am looking
for pleasure/competitive trail/ probably not endurance type horse (children are
rather time consuming currently!)
