[RC] My Goals, to enjoy every hoof beat I hear - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I've riden a lot this past year, lots of miles for me. Tevis,
then Virgina City, a multi day a few days ago and all along the
way tons of training rides. I love the rides, I love the
challenge but what I love more then anything is to breath in
that smell of horse breath, horse sweat, to see the world
looking between a set of Mustang ears.

To hear Galahads hoof beats coming down, 1-2-3-4. To try and
notice the trees, the rocks, the bushes, the dirt, birds and
all that comes with riding outside on a great horse. That means
being thankful to know that I'm healthy enough to ride, the
truck has gas in the tank, I have hay in my barn, my horse is
happy. Giving thanks for all that allows me to enjoy a 1/2
mile ride, a multiday, a 100 miler or yes a limited distance.

It's not about the distance, it's all about how you ride that distance that
matters.

My goal is to not lose perspective on how I got into this
sport, the love and bond I share with a great horse, the
friends and extended family I've made and the knowledge I've
gained, all because of seeing the world through a set of
Mustang ears. For that I give many thanks.

Char and Sir Galahad (who's goal is to continue to graze all
along the way down the trail)...........
