[RC] train your horse to love bikes - ALYCIN HAYES

It is impossible to predict what we may meet on the trail so be prepared. Train your horse to like bicycles. It is easy. Go out on the trail with a freind or two who are riding their bicycles. The ideal person to be on the bicycle is someone the horse already knows and likes. Let the bikes take the lead with you on following horseback. After a few miles stop, take a break and have the people on the bicycles give your horse an apple or carrot. Continue on for a long ride stopping occasionally for pit breaks with the bikes. My horse now loves bicycles. When she sees a bicycle her ears perk up like when you are on the trail alone and come across another horse. She sees bicycles as part of her herd. She wants to keep up with and follow them on the trail.
Happy trails,
Alycin
