[RC] Trails/Warnings that bikers are coming - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

Someone mention having bikers use bells or someother device so that horses can
hear their approach. I'm wondering under what conditions the horse hasn't
already heard the biker? There is a place near me, Turkey Mountain, where
mountain bikers share the trails with horses and hikers, and the occasional
weirdo. There are steep areas (nothing like CA tho) and blind corners. Never
have I ridden a horse there (QH, POA, Arab) that has not known before I have
that something else is on the trail. Now the bikers have sometimes been
surprised but have always stopped, dismounted and waited for us to pass by
before continuing on down the trail. we even tell each other about things such
as downed trees or gulleys that the other might run into.
