Actually the vets say that it is hard to judge BC for LD because the horses look mostly the same.  And mostly is it not the vets, it is the RM's who make the decisions.

And I will stick by my guns on that comment.  RMs in the West region
have reported that vets that Jeanne listed have told them that it takes
far too much time to judge LD BC.  And that means ANY LD BC.  I believe
that Melissa has suggested alternative forms of BC for LD--but there
are indeed vets in the West region who refuse to judge any form of LD
BC at all.
