[RC] 2 cents on LD, how about a quarter? - Dream Weaver

Did any of you guys, when children, ever get bribed to sit in the backseat and be quiet? I remember my grandfather telling us kids we would get a quarter if we could be quiet and not say anything for at least ten whole minutes. How much would it take to get you all to stop yakking about limited distance for say a whole week? A month?

All the arguing about it solves nothing. There has been more than one ride manger who grew tired of it and has stopped sanctioning those distances. Keep at it and you'll have less of the rides to complain about. I stopped sanctioning them on any Sunrise Ranch Ride due to the whining and complaining among a much smaller group of riders to be tenfold that of the longer distance riders. It isn't worth it, riders should be grateful to have a ride to go to and people willing to work so hard to put them on.

Isn't there something more productive to discuss? Like did anybody learn anything actually riding their horse at any AERC rides this year?
