I think it all depends on where you live and
how aggressive the hunters are in that area. I
have lived where I felt safe riding during the
week (not weekends), wearing orange and then
I lived on the edge of a National forest that 
had a resident elk herd and I didn't even like to
go outside during elk season.  I had bullet holes
in my house!! Everyone  brought their horses 
in from the fields and kept them close to their 
homes.  It was CRAZY the hunters were rude, left 
alot of garbage, and terrorized our little town
(but, it was good for the local economy). PP
