[RC] Last Ass Over the Pass? - Mustanger47167

Since a mule is half ass and half horse, if they ride mules, is it last half ass over the pass?

 "In the mountain town of Leadville (I believe it is Leadville) they have an 
annual race called "Last ass over the pass".  It is a half marathon that 
runners run with a four legged ass.  It was started as a loose re-enactment 
of the old gold miners racing to town with their gold and their mules."

They run and lead the animal, which carries a 33-pound pack.  Riding is not
allowed.  They not only have one in Leadville, but in Cripple Creek and other
