RE: [RC] 50 or 25? - Steph TeeterWe actually do this often, one ride we even started the LD's at noon - everybody loved it. I've also started LD's 30 minutes after the 50's and had some very angry 50 milers at the ride meeting - but it was the only way we could use the same vetcheck area and staff, and couldn't afford to split staff up and have them at too many different vetchecks. It just all comes down to logistics - staff. For those of you (ride managers) who can do this though, it really works great, for all the reasons Jim states. Assuming there are no logistics issues with away vet checks, why not start the 25's at 10:00AM? They would have to be done by 4:00PM, which would help spread the rush in the vet check. >> =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
