What is the treatment of choice for a rope burn on the rear fetlock? This is right where the hoof/fetlock bends so any scabbing will crack/bleed as it heals. Should this be hosed down 1 or more times a day?
Simply left alone to heal? Nitrofeurazone? Vaseline? Should this even be wrapped? (I wouldn't think so but...) Any advice appreciated as to how to deal with this in the most effective manner.
