Cherie,  Well it sounds like you have a nicely behaved horse, so
perhaps the seller wasn't as bad as you believe.  In addition to Tom's 
suggestion, I would recommend taking some dressage
lessons and see whether or not you may be causing some of the 
crookedness or perhaps he was ridden improperly before. Some correct bending, 
circling, and strengthening excerises may help
tremendously.   Also I was reading that ulcers can occur within
96 horses so perhaps Irish didn't have ulcers when he left the
sellers.  Hard to say.
