RE: [RC] NAEC Coverage - Steph Teeter

a pleasure! It's pretty cool to look at the progress in technology over the past 10 years - the first ride we covered was Kansas in '96 - Mike Maul sending emails and helping with technical stuff - an early digital camera (polaroid?? can't even remember) with limited storage capacity, transferring vetgate info via floppy disc from their machine to ours (I think I had John's laptop - big, heavy, clunky machine) - Mike had a laptop too? slow phone modem, using telnet to update files.

Just imagine 10 years from now!

Subject: [RC] NAEC Coverage

I can not believe how unbelievable the NAEC coverage was...everything from the information available during the heat of competition, to the photos, to the videos, to the fiddle music during the BC Trot-outs, and so forth.

Thanks, Steph, John, The Rojeks and anyone else associated with it.

You eased my unease at being housebound (no, I'm not wearing an ankle-bracelet :^)).
