Re: [RC] 88 WEC Trail - Truman Prevatt

As ususal Tom - few words of much wisdom. I am not one that takes kindly to this type of 'ass-whuppins' we have seen the last three WEC's. On the other hand I sure can not support the carnage of horseflesh it takes to compete in the present environment. So it is time for the US representatives to grow a set and demand the trials be true endurance trails like the OD, Big Horn, Tevis, etc. Damit we invented the sport - it's time for us to stand up and act like it. Endurance riding was not born on a course "designed" for racing. It was a sport to test the ability of the horse and rider to navigate what nature had to offer from point A to point B. I am sure you could find many good endurance courses in the Aps and down in Barvanian Aps.

So, if the USA wants to rise from this last 'ass-whuppin', it should work towards making the WEC Trail an Endurance Trai,l and not a Race Track 'Trail'. Just my humble opinion.
