thanks, Carla. I hope your mother has gotten to safety. I know Melissa did have a hurricane evacuation plan for her family and horses. She and her SO have land in Sealy, which is where I think they'd take the horses, but I don't know if it's far enough inland. This sounds like it's going to be truly hideous. All we can do at this point I guess is storm heaven with prayers.

Oh Chris, I hope they got out.  I called the League City evacuation control center early this morning, they told me they were expecting the entire area to be under water, and to keep urging my mother to leave (which of course I did).  Expecting a 20-25 foot storm surge.
