Bite the bullet.  Get a cortisone shot from a doctor, and the sooner the better. 
 
There's no home remedy that can compare.

OKAY - so we're sort of off topic with the killer bees, how about poison oak?  I have a killer case of poison oak from clearing trail (see- it is endurance related).  Anyone have an effective remedy that doesn't  require a trip to the doctor?
