Also, if you have water pipes that run through a barn, above ground, they
can also heat up in the sun, having warm to hot water coming out of them
until they are ran for awhile.

We bought one of the in tank water heaters, that fit in the drain hole of
the trough, and it works great in the winter to prevent freezing.
