[RC] Treeless dressage saddles: The SaddleQuest continues - Karen KochI'm considering the possibility of a treeless dressage saddle for my old-style Morgan gelding. (Short back, low - non-existent withers depending on weight and condition, big shoulders, big elastic swingy movement.) I've been spending the weekend doing some research, and they look interesting -- interesting enough that I'm now considering them seriously. So I'm posting for two reasons today:1. Does anyone have a used treeless dressage saddle they are thinking about selling? If so, I may be interested. I usually ride a 17-17.5 inch seat on a regular dressage saddle. 2. If you have ridden in a treeless saddle, I would be interested in your input about your experiences. Was it secure? DId the horse seem to like it? Did you like it? Did you have any long term issues with the horse's back or any other physical repercussions? Did you use any particular pad with it? Etc. (I typically ride 3-5 times per week during the academic year, and 5-6 days a week during the summer. Ride time is 30 minutes to 1 hour when schooling flatwork. We do some conditioning work outside on the farm, and I fit in trail rides whenever I can.) Many thanks in advance. BTW - I've only been registered for this list for the last month or so, and I have to say I have never seen such a helpful equine list! I've been referring people from other lists to find answers here. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
