Re: [RC] Magnesium supplementing...etc. - Truman Prevatt

The jury is out - at least in my book - on whether a magnesium
deficiency causes spooky behavior, however, magnesium is an essential
nutrient. From just a few minutes looking around two things become
clear. There are lots of other symptoms associated with magnesium
deficiency that should show up that would correlate with spooky behavior
if in fact the spooky behavior is associated with a magnesium deficiency.

Second it may not be a deficiency at all but an imbalance between
magnesium and other nutrients - particularly calcium.

Third is whole grains tend to be high in magnesium but feeding grains is
sort of "out" these days and feeding beet pulp which precipitates
magnesium and calcium is "in." Hence many are removing the natural
source while at the same time replacing the source with a feed that
precipitates what is available.
