I'll disagree with you.  My trucks have all been automatics and as long 
as they have enough power, they do huge hills just fine and I don't have 
to worry about shifting!  I love my GMC HD because a tap on the brake 
downshifts it and I can go down my local 10% grade that's about 2 miles 
long almost without touching the brakes again.
